THE MODERN WARMTH PROJECT

A thoughtfully curated modern sanctuary, blending elegance with everyday comfort

The Details

Who: A young family with two kids both parents in the 40’s with one working from home.

What: A classic upgrade of a Master bedroom

The Brief

Our clients sought to create a modern, functional, and stylish family home in Berlin’s Oliver Platz, blending contemporary elegance with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The goal was to maximise space, enhance natural light, and integrate thoughtful storage solutions while maintaining a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing design. A key priority was to ensure that the home catered to the needs of a growing family—offering comfort, practicality, and moments of understated luxury.

Our approach

To bring this vision to life, we embraced a Scandinavian-inspired design ethos, incorporating soft neutral tones, natural textures, and clean architectural lines. The palette was carefully selected to create a calming environment, with warm wood tones and earthy hues adding depth and warmth.

A key part of this project was the use of our 3D design services, particularly for the master bedroom, where the client wanted to visualise how different textures, materials, and design elements would interact in the space. By creating high-visual 3D renders, we were able to refine the selection of the wooden slatted headboard, sage-green accent wall, and bespoke storage solutions, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious final look.

Beyond aesthetics, we prioritised bespoke storage solutions to maintain a clutter-free space, ensuring that every design choice was both beautiful and functional. Multi-purpose furniture and flexible layouts were introduced to accommodate the evolving needs of family life, while a mix of soft lighting and natural materials enhanced the overall ambiance.

Each room was designed with a balance of sophistication and everyday usability, ensuring the home felt both refined and deeply personal to the family’s lifestyle.

Master Bedroom - A Serene Retreat

A space for relaxation and rejuvenation, the master bedroom was designed with a focus on tranquility. A statement wooden slatted headboard serves as the room’s focal point, adding warmth and texture. A muted sage-green accent wall brings a sense of calm, while built-in wardrobes blend seamlessly into the space, offering discreet yet ample storage. A Peloton bike is subtly integrated into the room, ensuring a balance between wellness and comfort.

Open-Plan Living & Dining - Functional Elegance

The heart of the home, this space was designed for seamless family interaction. A solid wood dining table, paired with plush, curved chairs, sits beneath sculptural glass pendant lights, creating a refined yet inviting atmosphere. The living area is defined by a neutral-toned sectional, accented with curated shelving and textured wall art. Large windows flood the space with natural light, enhancing the airy and spacious feel.

Children’s Bedroom - A Playful & Personalised Space

This room was crafted to inspire creativity and comfort. A soft, curved headboard frames the bed, while whimsical wall decor and colourful 3D insect details add a touch of playfulness. Custom shelving ensures that toys, books, and keepsakes are organised yet accessible, allowing the space to grow with the child over time.

4. Kitchen Nook - Cosy & Practical

A built-in banquet seating area, upholstered in dark cushions, creates a cosy yet functional dining nook. Floating wooden shelves provide stylish storage, displaying curated ceramics, potted plants, and essential kitchenware. Industrial-style pendant lighting completes the space, enhancing its warm and intimate feel.
